Yuletide Carol: The Christmas Song (Rewrite)
by Helen on Sep.13, 2011, under Family, Holidays, Music
Snowflakes falling from a perfect skye
Moonlight gallops through the din
The sound of hooves climbing into the night
The Yuletide winging on the wind
Let our song begin,
To lift your heart and warm your soul
Knowing all is right above
Time drifts by, and when you feel alone
No tears, the sun will melt the cold
Remember, Odin’s on his way
He’s bringing back the sweet warm skyfire of the day
And every star above is shining bright
To look their best for when Allfather brings the light.
And, so, I’m hoping that you join with me
To raise our glasses to the light.
Though it’s been said, many times, many ways
Hail the Yuletide,
Goodnight!
